Life happens.
As a women entrepreneur with my own company to run, three kids to raise and a life changing event to go through, I learned that the only two things that help push us through are:
Controlling our thoughts
And the support system from others
A lot of people think it's a balancing act and organizing skills, yes that too is helpful, but not so helpful when your mind takes over and you become reactive to events and circumstances, not so helpful when you are as a working mother feel guilty.
How many mothers go through this scenario?
When you are at work you are thinking of the kids.
When you are with the kids you are thinking of work.
No one wins.
Sometimes I envy men, they can shut off everything else when they are at work, they can excel and be perfect at it, that's why -in my opinion- the best in most areas even feminin like jobs are men! Designers, artists, chefs, hair stylists ...etc
The most promenant names are men!
How lovely it is to be able to give a 100% to your work *sigh* we can't do that, if we were perfect at one area of life the other area suffers.
Most women try to aim for perfection, to be the best at work, or best mom, they compare themselves burn out and feel misrable when they can't reach that perfect illusive image.
How about being good enough?
How about not being the best rather giving our best and feeling good about it? How about understanding other mothers and the responsibilities they go through and cutting them some slack maybe even offer them a helping hand or a kind encouraging word?
I do believe in the sisterhood of mothers, and working mothers, standing up for one another, life happens sometimes, some of my clients come to me for a design solution and cry cause they need another kind of solution, I see my job as solving a problem, they might have gone through a horrible divorce and just need me to make their life better by organizing their home, or designing their kid's room to brighten up their spirites and make them feel their parents love.
I have clients who became my friends, their support and understanding when life happens to me is what created the bond , our relationship, their understanding and care go years on after I have completed their projects.
I love my clients, some are God sent, the beautiful thing is they think the same way about me.
Support each other, cut each other some slack, help out each other, after all it will come back to you, I read once the way to achieving your dreams is to find enough people to help achiev their dreams❤️
Let's do that...
